While traveling by bus in Brazil, Dr. Jeff Martin experienced something almost bizarre by American standards. He and his wife were the last people to board a crowded bus. Jane noticed a growing trend when visiting her family physician. She was being farmed out to a different specialist for each part of her body. Currently she was being seen by a hand specialist for her carpel tunnel, an ear, nose and throat doctor for a persistent ear infection, a dermatologist for skin cancer checks, a neurologist for sleep apnea, and of course her gynecologist. You would think an award like this must have a back story and you would be right.
