Need oral surgery?

Finding an oral surgeon that you can trust to provide excellent results when you are in pain and need restorative oral surgery can be difficult. At Martin Taylor Dentistry, patients in the Tucson, AZ area receive timely, compassionate care from our highly skilled dentists. In addition to performing oral surgeries, we provide comprehensive care from start to finish—which means that you can rest assured knowing what to expect from your treatment, how to take care of yourself afterwards, and that you are in good hands.

Extractions

We have many modern techniques and procedures available to save your natural teeth whenever possible, but sometimes a tooth is damaged badly enough that the best course of action is to extract it. Depending on your specific oral health needs, extractions may be recommended to:

  • Extract impacted or crowded wisdom teeth
  • Remove decayed teeth
  • Extract teeth that have been severely damaged by trauma, such as fractured teeth removal

Our experienced dentists use a variety of methods to keep you comfortable and free from pain during your oral surgery, such as conscious sedation, oral sedatives, and/or local numbing agents.

Dental implants

If you have had extractions or tooth loss, then replacing your missing tooth or teeth can have a dramatic impact on the function, appearance, and health of your smile. Dental implants are called the “gold standard” of tooth replacement and for good reason – their stability, longevity, and health-promoting benefits for your jawbone and surrounding teeth are simply unparalleled. Dr. Martin and Dr. Taylor have expertise in performing dental implant surgery that achieves excellent, natural-looking results.

Apicoectomy surgery

Sometimes, after a root canal procedure, the tip of the tooth root becomes infected. If this happens, an apicoectomy may be recommended. During this procedure, the tooth root tip is removed through a small incision that is made in your gums, and then the end of the root canal-treated tooth is sealed.
