As 2017 draws to a close, so does our time on East 5th Street. As of now, our projected move-in date is sometime in Feb-March of 2018. Of course there is a little melancholy at the thought of leaving our home of almost 40 years, but it is soon overtaken by the excitement we feel about moving to a new location!
Our new location will be on Speedway Blvd in Tucson, AZ with offices on the west side of the second floor. Our goal to acquire more space has been more than accomplished– our new office space is 4,400 square feet! That more than doubles the 2,000 square feet of our current space.
Not only have we significantly increased the space available for our lab and reception areas, we have also doubled the number of dental chairs we have available for patients. Going from 6 chairs to 12 will ease our scheduling challenges. We will bring some of our current equipment over to the new office, but we have also purchased a lot of new equipment for the new location.
Much thought and planning has gone into this move! Designing an office space to accomodate a dental practice is a complicated venture. In fact, there is an entire industry built around the moving, building and designing of the space needed for a dental practice. We were able to hire experts in this type of office design, and have been very pleased with their knowledge and experience.
We are certain our patients will find our new office to be not only spacious, but beautiful as well; the architects that designed and built the building in 2010, actually have their offices in the same complex. From our north windows we look out to the Catalina Mountains and on the south side we look out over the Pantano Wash. The designers have added beautiful color and style into our new space.
Our patients will also delight in the size of our new parking lot! As we mentioned in our last article, parking at our East 5th Street location has always been a challenge. Our new office parking is literally a vast improvement.
Our office will be closed for the holiday from Dec 25 thru Jan 1, reopening on January 2. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and in our newsletter for more information about the exact date of our move and some more pictures of our new facility.
We of course will continue to see patients at E 5th Street until we begin moving to the new location on Speedway Blvd.
